We’re very excited to share that we’re celebrating a significant milestone here as Direct Tile Warehouse turns 45 this October! 🎉 In celebration, we’re giving you an insight into the company’s history, and offering a special discount to celebrate.

• Manager Chris started with the company in its early days as a teenager and has been with us ever since!

Direct Tile Warehouse turns 45

Back in 1978, we started our journey as an offshoot of a joint venture construction company, with a mission to bring exquisite ceramic tiles from Spain, Italy, and Portugal to the British market. These imported tiles not only added a touch of elegance to homes but also became popular among trade professionals and the public due to their unique designs and competitive prices.

Originally known as B J Ceramics, we began our operations in Swansea’s Strand area and have since grown, including a Cardiff office that is now based on Hadfield Road. We are a 100% family-owned enterprise, led by the Ballard family, who acquired full ownership in 1985.

While our name evolved to Direct Tile Warehouse in 2003, one thing that has remained constant is our commitment to exceptional customer service. Our dedicated staff, who are experts in tiles, have been instrumental in our success.

Technology has played a significant role in our journey, transforming the way we do business. From telex facilities to fax machines, and now seamless communication through email and video calls, we’ve come a long way.
