Direct Tile Warehouse were delighted to be involved with the supply of various wall and floor tiles for this beautifully renovated property in Morriston, on the outskirts of Swansea.
Fortunately, property developer Hannah Lewis had an eye for potential when she snapped up a wreck of a house at auction in 2015! With a fallen ceiling and not a habitable room in sight, Hannah had big plans for her newly acquired three-bed terrace!
Just one year later, the property has just gone on the market, having undergone some serious restructuring, renovation and interior styling - with a little help from Direct Tile Warehouse.
"The house was in such a state, the seller would only accept cash buyers," said Hannah. "I saw it's potential straight away, and whilst it came with a whole host of challenges, seeing the interior all come together has been the best bit of the process and made all the stress worthwhile," she added.
With profit at the forefront of her mind, Hannah knew she wanted to style the main rooms of the house in a current, modern ‘in vogue’ style that would attract potential buyers, but not break the bank. Having spotted a few tiles she liked whilst shopping around online, Hannah visited the Direct Tile Warehouse in Swansea and relayed her bathroom and kitchen ideas to a member of the team. Impressed by the tile quality, and with tiles costing an average of two thirds cheaper than similar styles she’d seen elsewhere, Hannah was advised by a member of the Direct Tile Warehouse Team in store to change a couple of her original choices as the tiles were not suited to their purpose.
Shopping for wall and floor tiles for her main bathroom, ensuite, cloakroom, and kitchen, Hannah was delighted to learn that she was eligible for trade discount – a welcome surprise at the till! The tiles she had chosen had been on display with grey grout and a matching silicone, so Hannah also purchased these products along with the adhesive from Direct Tile Warehouse to achieve her desired look and ensure she had everything she needed for fitting. Her tiler was so impressed with the quality of the tiles when fitting them, he even paid a visit to the showroom himself!
The soft neutral tones of our Avon Original Style Tiles in grey mosaic effect were used to create an attractive bathroom with wide-ranging appeal. A retro feel was incorporated into the shower with the use of our gloss white Metro Brick Tiles with grey grout.
The warm tone of our vintage looking multi-coloured Nikea Patchwork Tiles added a unique pattern to the cloakroom floor, and continued the mosaic theme across multiple rooms.
Hannah used our white Artisan Brick Wall Tiles to create a striking kitchen splash back. Grey grout defined each tile and created the 'on-trend' look that is becoming increasingly popular in kitchen spaces.
The ensuite shower was tiled in gloss white Metro Brick Tiles (also used in the main bathroom above), but created a very different look when grouted in white. The multi-coloured Nikea Patchwork Tiles were used again on the floor.
