Customer Beth used our Victorian floor tiles for her fabulous cloakroom transformation in her 1910 Edwardian home in Cheshire. It just goes to show that even the smallest room in the house can look stunning! We caught up with her to find out more.
I knew what I wanted to create in this tiny ‘throne’ room but finding the right stuff was difficult. The room is 94cm wide!
The beautiful, original 1910 stained glass window had been hidden behind a random creation of a hidden cistern, but the original features were just waiting to be revealed. To put the cherry on the top, I discovered that the new high-level cisterns fit perfectly to the old pan.
Tracking down the ideal Cloakroom Floor Tiles
We hunted for ages for the right cloakroom floor tiles to be modern but in keeping with the period of our home. I found Direct Tile Warehouse and these tiles ticked every box.
I just love the way they look and they are of fantastic value. Having decided to take on the renovation of the room myself during the start of Covid19 (probably not the best idea), I ordered the sample and then the tiles and everything was so quick and easy. I had a query with the grout and the staff were so helpful it was reassuring to a novice like me. They laid beautifully, and happily easily cut with an angle grinder!
The service was exceptional even during Covid-19 so thank you!
