White metro tiles are an absolute classic. From their iconic beginnings in the New York subways in the early 1900s, these simple but effective tiles feature in homes around the world.
They are so versatile, and can be used in a variety of ways, whether you want to tile from floor to ceiling or just use a few to make a statement. Then there’s a range of tiling patterns to choose from too.
Our helpful blog post shows how to tile with metro tiles, and it might just inspire you to bring some metro magic into your own home.
Grout for white metro tiles
Choosing tiles? Don’t forget to think about which colour grout to opt for! The simple reason is that grout can completely change the look of your space.
For a uniform look and to give the appearance of a larger room, opt for white metro tiles with white grout. This will also give the impression of tile edges flowing into one another.
For the opposite effect, pair your white metro tiles with a contrasting grout to disrupt the flow and make the individual tile shape pop out. This is a great choice if you want to emphasise the pattern of your tiling, for example if you’re using a herringbone pattern.
Our Vital range of brick tiles features a gorgeous gloss white metro tile that’s perfect for bathrooms and kitchens. These flat gloss tiles can be co-ordinated together or used individually for stylish simple designs. Have a look at customer Dave’s ensuite to see them in action.
