Nothing gives us greater pleasure than watching a dream project come together! We avidly followed the progress on Instagram of customer Samantha Brady’s garden living room in her gorgeous new build home. Not only does it look amazing, but using tiles will mean it stays looking good for many years to come. We caught up with Samantha to find out more.
We bought a new build home last year, moved in February. The garden was one of the first things we did, it was a blank canvas. I wanted to create a garden living room. I’d been scouring Pinterest and found some amazing ideas.
When we went out tile shopping, I fell in love with wood-effect porcelain tiles but they were tricky to find and they all seemed way out of our budget. We’d had wooden decking before and the maintenance of painting and replacing it wasn’t ideal.
After much deliberation, we ordered a few samples of porcelain wood effect tiles online. We found that the tiles from Direct Tile Warehouse were the nicest and most reasonably priced. Their sample tiles are free, their customer service team were great and even chatted to us on Instagram about our choices and a special offer they had at the time.
Creating a dream garden living room
The tiles we used for our project were Maryland anti-slip wood effect tiles in grey. We framed the area using wooden sleepers and painted the fence area grey (Cuprinol Ducks Back, Silver Copse) to make it feel more like a room. We dressed it with a rattan sofa set and a BBQ. I’m looking forward to this summer so we can finish accessorising and use the space to entertain guests.
I love how our garden ‘living room’ turned out, it’s such a relaxing place to sit. My little boy uses it as a stage! Everyone comments on how lovely the tiles are. I always recommend Direct Tile Warehouse to my friends and Instagram followers because they are reliable and great value for money.
